ADAM DAVIS - BIO

Production Designer

 

Adam’s an LA based Production Designer for Television, Film, Commercials and Live Events.  Originally from Montreal, he is also a trained architect  and received his B.A. in Architecture from University of Florida and a Master’s in Architecture from the avant-garde Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).   His TV Production Design credits include: Rap Sh!t Season 2 (HBO Max 2023), Will Trent (ABC 2022), The Big Leap (Fox 2022), Blindspotting Season 1 (STARZ 2021), Amazon’s Them (2021) and Aquarius Season 2 (NBC). Art Direction credits include , Hombre (Showtime Pilot 2019), Counterpart Season 2 (Starz), I Am The Night (TNT), The Inhumans (Marvel/ ABC), Godless (Netflix) and Magic City (Starz). His film credits include: Catching Fire (Hunger Games sequel), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Super 8, The Immortals and Larry Crowne.  He’s Production Designed and Art Directed over 250 TV commercials including Superbowl spots and collaborations with A-list film directors. His work has garnered him Art Director’s Guild Awards for Outstanding  Art Direction on David Fincher’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Farmer’s Insurance Drowned Circus with director Dante Ariola.  Additionally, Adam has Production Designed and Art Directed a multitude of music videos, live events, touring concerts and award shows, collaborating with David Bowie, James Taylor, Enrique Iglesias, Brian Wilson, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. 

For over a decade, Adam has been production designing touring sets for the international theatrical dance troupe, Diavolo Architecture in Motion.  He received the Lester Horton award for Outstanding Dance Set Design for Diavolo’s Captured, and his work has been published in numerous periodicals as well as the LA times.  His most recent set, Existencia, is premiering in January 2024.

Adam’s interests include yoga, hiking and guitar, and is a prolific artist who works in collage and steel sculpture. He is highly skilled in sketching and 3D modeling… and always knows how to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary.
